· Poker Night at the Lemon Tree – Wednesday 11th November
Friends and family welcome.
· UL Rowing Coaching and Technique Workshop – 18th November, 4pm
A definite must for anyone planning to go out in a launch or teach freshers in the tank; it would also be useful for coxes. The meeting will be taken by Steve Gunn who has coached several crews to Olympic medals and is now manager of the ARA’s World Class Start Programme.
· Fundraising Christmas Fancy-Dress Run – date tbc
- Start - Destination X TBC
- Finish - The Buttery Bar, Hawkshead
A Little light exercise in aid of raising money for that much needed equipment and those much desired new boats! Roughly 8km and a minimum sponsorship of £20 per runner. Each year with a different theme – to be confirmed!
· Ergathon – Saturday 16th January
A grueling 12 hours from midday to midnight. 2 machines side by side, Camden vs Hawkshead in the Buttery.
· Tough Guy 2010 – Sunday 31st January
Year of the original heroes.
· The Ridgeway National Trail – 27th/28th February
85miles through ancient woodland, rolling landscape, secluded valleys and woods. Follow the trail used since pre historic times by travelers, herdsman and soldiers
· Sports Ball 2010 - Normally a Tuesday night in May
An evening where the sportsmen and women from across the RVC unite in almighty mayhem to bask in each others glory. Speeches from the captains, colours awarded and of course the RVCBC Rower's Rower Trophy...
· RVCBC Tour 2010 - provisional dates: Friday 5th - Monday 8th February
No introduction needed, the weekend of all weekends for the RVCBC. Get your cheques in and get your costume on...it's going to be incredible. Check the photos for proof. Enough said.
